KFF Community Development is a 501c3 faith-based organization created to empower impoverished people and revitalize impoverished neighborhoods in the city of Milwaukee and surrounding areas.

We envision a Milwaukee with ample opportunities for residents to provide for and safely raise a family, receive a world-class education, and contribute to the overall health and advancement of the community at large

Our Board and Executive team have over 30 years experience managing direct social programming and administering federal, state, local and foundation grants with excellence and integrity. We are a 501c3 tax exempt nonprofit that works diligently to make Milwaukee a safe and prosperous city for all. We accomplish our mission  by working with faith and community based organizations, state and local governments, private foundations and community stakeholders and individuals.

According to research conducted by the Pew Institute, Milwaukee has one of the highest poverty rates in the country at 29%; nearly double the federal poverty rate. In addition, 24/7 Wall Street reports that Milwaukee is one of the most segregated cities in America, and one of the worst places to live for minorities. Economic opportunities for Black and Latino residents are abysmal. USA Today reports that African Americans living in Milwaukee make $24,000 less than their white counterparts for the same work and skillset. Despite efforts from community and economic development organizations, many minority residents within the city of Milwaukee still live in substandard housing and barely make enough money to cover rent. Working with our partners and community stakeholders, we establish and deploy programs that target those areas that create the greatest risk for our clients and constituents. Through our focused and concentrated efforts, KFF Community gets results.

We endeavor to rebuild and revitalize areas that are historically underserved with the power of the Gospel, and with initiatives that help residents become self-sufficient members of the communities in which they live and work.

We exist to give a voice to the voiceless. We also endeavor to use our platform to amplify the plight of those whose voices aren't loud enough to be heard.

We are committed to working collaboratively with faith and community groups that address issues affecting the well-being of all of Milwaukee.
